Our unit operates in the countryside with 15 groups and 318 children. Through the European funded project POIM the unit has been equipped with 15 purifiers and 3 robots for disinfection.
Following the installation of these purifiers, which are in permanent operation during the children’s stay in the classroom, we noticed that the number of illnesses caused by seasonal colds and flu has been reduced, being very beneficial to the children’s health.
Odours caused by the use of chemicals in cleaning products are absorbed and filtered by the purifiers, freshening the air in the classrooms.
The air quality in the room is also affected by the use of the purifier, making it more breathable, with unpleasant smells largely eliminated.
Often the weather outside doesn’t allow good ventilation, in this case we use the purifier which provides adequate ventilation.
Disinfecting robots are used once a month in each classroom, according to a plan drawn up at unit level.
